PWA CSR Test the School Water Quality

Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) continues the 3 levels CSR idea by test the water quality in school. Latest PWA tested the water quality at Weruwan Temple School in Chiang Mai to guarantee that drinking water will be free from contaminant.

Mr.Wiset Chamnarnwong, PWA Governor, said PWA has realized about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and divided CSR in 3 levels, CSR inside PWA, CSR around PWA and CSR outside PWA, for convenience to persuade officers in 230 branches to join CSR project. For CSR outside PWA, PWA forced the Drinking Water Test Project to ensure that the students will be healthy by collecting water from water coolers, water taps and water strainers to test for contaminant. The result was the quantity of manganese and iron was higher than PWA standard. So PWA suggested the school to install ultraviolet electric light and add oxidized chemical in water and change from using ground water and village water to use PWA water.
